Olufunbi Falayi

Olufunbi is a Computer Science & Economics graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. He, also, studied Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Executive) at Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). After his studies, Olufunbi created and remains CEO of LeadSpace - a network of shared workspaces for startups, entrepreneurs, professionals, freelancers, content creators and creative artists that provides world class office facilities and amenities at a fraction of the traditional cost.

He is a Co-Founder of Passion Incubator; an early stage technology incubator and he is also a Partner at Fastforward Student Innovation Fund.

Previously he worked as: the Project Lead in the CSR department of Mit-Glauben Engineering Ltd (IT section) and the Centre Manager at the Nigerian government-funded incubator IDEA NIGERIA (Information Technology Developers Entrepreneurship Accelerator) which supports 40+ startups developing solutions in different industry verticals.

Olufunbi’s passion for education in entrepreneurship has led him to help launch a privately owned and managed Entrepreneurship training institution, Southern Business Academy Lagos. He was, also, an advisor to startups at the Harvard Business School - African Business Conference 2015 in Boston and a Yahoo! Panelist on Innovation at the South by SouthWest (SXSW) Conference 2015 in Austin, Texas. Additionally, he is presently a mentor at the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Program (TEEP).

Olufunbi has been a recipient of numerous awards: Future Award Africa Nominee in Education (2013), Future Award Winner in Enterprise Support category (2015), LEAP Africa Social Innovators Award (2014), Islamic Development Bank Group (ISDB) Business Plan Competition Prize 2014 (Growth Track). He is also an Associate Fellow of the Nigeria Leadership Initiative (NLI).
