Director Justice Accelerator
My drive is to figure out how innovation and collaboration work as key drivers in solving the issues of our time: climate and inequality.
Ronald Lenz is the director of the Justice Accelerator, HiiL’s flagship social entrepreneurship program that scouts, funds, trains and coaches a cohort of 15 – 20 justice startups across Africa, MENA and Ukraine. The program is implemented regionally through local hubs and teams.
To support fast-growing startups an impact investment fund is being set up. Additionally, Ronald leads the Justice Innovation Labs in which public sector, businesses and civil society come together to design specific projects that implement justice innovation at scale. Ronald has 15+ years of experience leading innovation programs and teams and building public-private partnerships for a wide range of SDGs.
From his many professional accomplishments, Ronald counts: leading the procurement process and partner negotiations for the European Hyperloop Centre; leading a 20+ partner PPP (initiated by AkzoNobel) on new water, energy and housing projects in Jakarta and Manila; and advising organisations such as UN Global Compact and OECD on strategies for inclusive and sustainable cities.
When Ronald is not busy solving the issues of our time, he spends some time with his three gorgeous kids and his amazing partner in crime.
