« You can’t improve what you don’t measure » – Peter Drucker

Amy Sinclair is HiiL’s Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Lead. She is responsible for the overall development, coordination and quality control for results-based management and donor reporting. Building great MEL practices at HiiL is crucial for proving the effectiveness of people-centred justice programming and measuring our progress towards empowering 150 million people to prevent and resolve their most pressing justice problems by 2030.

Amy holds a law degree from the Australian National University, and a master’s degree in international law from the University of Cape Town. She has extensive hands-on experience in the African justice sector, including digital free access to law programming for AfricanLII and capacity-building for the Judicial Institute for Africa. She speaks French and is working on her Dutch.

Amy splits her time between Amsterdam, Cape Town and coastal New South Wales. Regardless of location, on the weekends you will likely find her training for a triathlon, hosting a raucous dinner party, or star-gazing.
