First Policy Brief of the HiiL Transnational Private Regulation Policy Brief Series to be published

HiiL is pleased to announce its plans to publish the first Policy Brief titled ‘Effectiveness of transnational private regulation (TPR): impact assessment and the development of indicators’ authored by Prof. Fabrizio Cafaggi (European University Institute) and Prof. Andrea Renda (European University Institute). The brief will be published within the framework of the research project ‘Private Transnational Regulation: Constitutional Foundations and Governance Design’.

In short, this policy brief draws particular focus on the effectiveness of transnational private regulation and provides an insightful discussion on the development of impact assessment models at the international level to evaluate alternative legislative options, including the option between hard and soft law and the correlation with private rule-making.

This policy brief forms a part of the newly created HiiL Transnational Private Regulation Policy Brief Series to be published throughout the forthcoming months. The briefs will be reviewed by HiiL Multi-stakeholder Committee on Private Regulation. Continuing our endeavor to bridging science and practice, this HiiL research aims at translating scientific results into practical guidance and solutions.
