Sotiria Nika has been working at HiiL since January 2026 as an HR Officer. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with Honours from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, and an MSc with Merit in Human Resource Management from the University of Derby. Sotiria also holds several certificates and diplomas in people-centred support, such as Engaging in Grief and Loss Support from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. Sotiria’s career spans the (I)NGO sector, providing her with a 360-degree perspective through both humanitarian frontline work and HR roles.
Sotiria has a strong, longstaning interest in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), shaped by her background in Social Work and her people-centred approach to HR. In previous roles, she designed and delivered DEI initiatives and projects, including a DEI pilot within an ESG strategy that provided refugees in Greece with a structured, curriculum-based professional training programme, ensuring participants gained the required qualification standards for equitable job placement in the wellness & hospitality sector.
