Dorathy Olarinde is a Communication Officer at the Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL) Nigeria office. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual and Creative Arts and Master’s degrees in both Corporate Communication and Media and Entertainment. She joined HiiL in November 2025, drawn to the organization’s commitment to making justice accessible and user-friendly for all.
In her role, Dorathy specializes in translating complex impact data into clear, engaging content that resonates with partners, stakeholders, and the communities HiiL serves. Her primary responsibilities include communicating the organization’s mission and achievements across various platforms to ensure HiiL’s work in innovation and law is widely known and understood.
Throughout her career in the humanitarian and development sectors, Dorathy has successfully managed the full lifecycle of numerous programs. Her most outstanding achievement was coordinating the high-level closure of a major program, for which she received an award of recognition for outstanding event planning and coordination, highlighting her ability to successfully manage complex, high-stakes events.
While her professional life is dedicated to making justice user-friendly, Dorathy maintains a passion for creative expression outside of work. She is deeply committed to her family and ensures she never misses spending the Christmas holidays with them. Her artistic prowess and eye for designs trace back to her previous career as a makeup artist before she transitioned into her current professional path.
