Accelerator Programme Manager
To me, justice is that all-embracing force that holds our equitable society together. Going beyond the law and the judicial system, justice is about our right to dignity, fairness, and a chance to achieve our fullest potential.
Iran’s 10+ year long career includes a combination of experiences in the startup business and the non-profit sustainable development sector. She specialises in taking startups from the idea stage to the growth stage. At HiiL, she develops and implements the global accelerator programme, while also specifically managing the two regions of East Africa and MENA. She previously lived and worked in Canada, UK, East Africa and the Middle East.
She completed her interdisciplinary Bachelor’s degree at the University of British Columbia, and her Master’s degree with a focus on community approaches to sustainable development, at the London School of Economics. She is also an alumna of the VC Unlocked programme at 500 Startups in Silicon Valley.
On a personal note, Iran comes from a family of writers and entrepreneurs. She enjoys poetry, all things food related and fine art related, including an obsession she recently developed with the Flemish art of the Middle Ages!
