Innovative Rule of Law Initiative (IRI)
Launched in July 2009, the Innovative Rule of Law Initiative (IRI) is a joint venture of HiiL with the European Academy for Law and Legislation (EALL), the Microjustice Initiative and the Center for International Legal Cooperation (CILC).
IRI develops and implements open innovation processes which can support rule of law innovation as well as innovative products and services that strengthen and improve the rule of law. In doing so, IRI will establish a link between innovation experience within the business sector and other social organizations in a way which has not been done before.
The Innovative Rule of Law Initiative has received generous start-up subsidies from SenterNovem (an agency of the Netherlands’ Ministry of Economic Affairs) and the Municipality of The Hague.
