Investment decision-making in South America

Rule of law is an important condition when considering investment in a foreign country. HiiL has produced six Quick Scans for South America.

After the good result of HiiL’s quick scans on the state of rule of law in five countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, a major actor in the business sector in the Netherlands asked us to perform a new analysis for six South American countries: Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Chile and Uruguay. The focus is on those aspects and dimensions of the rule of law which are of particular importance for investors.
