Prof. Pierre Larouche (TILEC, Tilburg University) to spend a sabbatical in Northwestern University in 2009/2010 to complete his HiiL-sponsored project
Prof. Larouche is the Project Leader of a HiiL-funded research-project titled “Coping with the Challenges of Globalization - Convergence and Divergence of National Legal Systems”, carried out by a group of researchers at the Tilburg Law and Economics Center (TILEC) at Tilburg University. Prof. Larouche will use the HiiL funding to finance a sabbatical in the academic year 2009-2010 at Northwestern University, a top 10 US law school with great research facilities and an institutional environment resembling that of Tilburg University. During the sabbatical year, Prof. Larouche will carry out his work on ‘regulatory emulation’ – a notion that has emerged as one of the central objects of inquiry in this research project - and will also write the project’s concluding paper.
