 A diverse group of top experts to aid states and international criminal courts

Justice Rapid Response (JRR) became operational in 2009 to fill a gap in the international justice system that neither States alone, nor established international mechanisms have been able to meet effectively. Through the establishment of a roster of rapidly deployable professionals with criminal justice and related expertise, the JRR facility emerged as a flexible, agile and cost-effective tool for States and institutions, with appropriate jurisdiction, to use in investigating mass atrocity crimes credibly, impartially and in a timely manner. Prior to joining the JRR roster, professionals undergo specialized investigations training and certification to a globally and gender balanced roster.
