An inspiring Spanish court delivers direct, oral, concentrated, quick and economic justice

There is justice that is offered by a court which is a direct, oral, concentrated, quick and economic justice. Any Thursday at 12 noon at a public site, outside Apostles of the Cathedral of Valencia, everyone can go directly and ask for justice.

Those who go there do not need a lawyer. They can go and directly state the facts. Oral or written documents are not admitted and minutes are not taken; the customary law applied does not require it. It is economic because it does not involve any cost. The court only says if the accused is guilty or not and issues penalties.

The communities of irrigators who set the amount of the imposed penalty, using mechanisms such as rates, experts, prices at the time of the harvest in markets. Decisions are taken by majority votes, and the trustees of the irrigation channel who have committed the infringement do not vote.
