On March 5th, 2009 HiiL held a Brainstorm Meeting on the HiiL’s Annual Law of the Future Conference 2009. Experts, practitioners, and academics gathered for this meeting at HiiL’s premises in order to come one step closer towards the planning of the Annual Conference 2009.
The purpose of this Brainstorm Meeting was to elaborate on the central theme of the Conference, to identify the most relevant and valid topics and related research questions as well as to decide on the structure and the programme of the Conference.
The Annual Conference 2009 took place on 8 and 9 October 2009 at the Peace Palace in The Hague and was concerned with private actors and globalisation. The Conference’s provisional title is: Globalisation, the Nation-State and Private Actors: The dynamics of public/private cooperation in shaping law and governance.
