26-27 November 2009: Rule of Law Research Group – author’s seminar in Berlin
Recently HiiL launched a new research project on the rule of law, titled The Internationalisation of Rule of Law – Changing Contexts and New Challenges, lead by Prof. André Nollkaemper, Prof. Randall Peerenboom and Prof. Michael Zürn. In Phase 1 of the project, the project leaders are working on an edited volume (expected to be published in fall 2010), focusing on the following question: What sorts of transnational (horizontal) and international (vertical) interactions and interrelations can be identified between the various actors promoting the rule of law, domestically and on the international level? Much like the project as a whole, this book will reflect an international and interdisciplinary research effort engaging top-level scholars from around the world. It is expected to include approximately 15 contributions.
As part of this process, a (closed) authors’ seminar was held in Berlin (hosted by the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin (WZB)) on 26-27 November, 2009.
