Lunch & Learn: Why the Law is Ready for SA Startups and Innovators

15 June 2017

After fintech, agritech, cleantech and tech tech, what's the next area that's ripe for disruption and democratisation?

The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL) believes it's law. There are countless opportunities for entrepreneurs to shake up the legal system in the same way other institutions have been challenged, and provide access to legal and justice systems for the millions of people across the world who've previously been shut out. And HiiL is looking to support startups in the field right now.

To achieve this goal, applications for HiiL's Justice Accelerator are open until the end of June. Successful applicants will be qualify for equity-free seed funding, sector specific business mentorship and become part of a growing network of legal innovators and investors from around the world.

You can find out more about the Justice Accelerator by visiting innovatingjustice.com, or by coming along to a special lunch and learn session at Workshop 17, 1pm, 15 June. Representatives from HiiL and local experts will host an informal presentation on the subject of legal innovation, and look at some of the opportunities it provides for sustainable business growth.

Food and drinks will be provided.
